What is the essence

Of all the beliefs and Characteristics

That have shaped me?

Where did I begin?

And at what point did I end?

Do I hold any Power?

Or did I give it away?

Or was it taken from me?

Is all existence an illusion?

A game to get ahead at all costs

To maintain a false sense

Of security and acceptance

In which there will be NO victory?

Is humanity a lie?

An oasis of Promise forever out of reach?

Is the birth of mankind a cruel joke?

I no longer understand the concept

Of Life or living

Or surviving

Is it Faith that leads directly to

Hell's Gate?

Is it compassion and kindness

That breed loneliness?

Is it Truth that gives rise to hate?

Is the gift of feeling intently

The last nail in the coffin?

Is the shutting down

Of the Heart

A guarantee of fulfilment?

Is the closure of Death the only

Highway to Heaven?

Is fractured 'REAL'?
