Innocent children go missing every day when they disappear into their fractured minds borne from childhood sexual abuse. They navigate through life on a shattered inner compass of fight-or-flight response and hypervigilance. IT'S NOT OKAY. We need to be one Voice to protect tomorrows children

The world around her

Was slowly blotted out

One tear after the next

Smudged the abstract lines

Of a childhood gone wrong

The smeared art depicted truth

Boundaries crossed

Emotions in turmoil

The disappearance of a little girl...

For anyone who understands

Where no explanation is necessary

They would see what lies beneath

That dark mass of paint

That no longer depicts

A masterpiece of chaotic order

They would know

That behind every running colour

Lies a murder scene

The butchering of a little girl's heart

Killed over and over

The dagger changing hands

They would know

That the vivid perfection once held

Was only a masquerade of dark betrayal

Not Light

Not Hope

They would know

That the eerie underlying image

Of an empty swing

Still gaining momentum

In a childhood lost

Revealed what adults

Chose not to see

...The disappearance of a little girl...

I did not know

That a heart could die

While breath

Still filled my lungs

I never saw the darkness

Turn darker
