A LITTLE BIT OF HEART WOULDN’T HURT

What would happen if all those in power within Australian Home Affairs and Border Patrol were neatly placed into situations where they were bound by the immigration red tape that regulates for so-called Justice?

I believe, without a doubt, that those regulations would swiftly be re-looked at.

My thoughts go out to the Biloela Family....Devoted parents; Asylum seekers from Sri Lanka...Their daughters only aged five and three questioning why they don't have the freedom that other little children have...These parents left feeling fearful, hopeless and powerless.

I don’t know the details of this case, but I do know that the Australian Government has spent 50M detaining and trying to deport this family. Kristina Keneally travelled to Christmas Island to meet them...They live in an empty detention centre, and they all sleep in one bedroom which contains a queen bed and a single bed. The other room has a single bed and they stack all their clothes and belongings on it. They are fortunate to have access to health and welfare services including school and recreation services. Their case has been going on for nearly four years.

Now I ask you this, with all due respect...

Why has my immigration matter not warranted priority also? And more importantly, why is this even occurring, especially in a first world country who states their values as follows on their Home Affairs website:

”Australian values based on freedom, respect, fairness and equality of opportunity are central to our community remaining a secure, prosperous and peaceful place to live. Our values define and shape our country and they are a reason why so many people want to become Australian citizens. Our democratic institutions and shared Australian values have created our peaceful and stable society. Australian values include: respect for the freedom and dignity of the individual, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of association, commitment to the rule of law, which means that all people are subject to the law and should obey it, parliamentary democracy whereby our laws are determined by parliaments elected by the people, those laws being paramount and overriding any other inconsistent religious or secular ‘laws’, equality of opportunity for all people, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, race or national or ethnic origin, a ‘fair go’ for all that embraces mutual respect, tolerance, compassion for those in need and equality of opportunity for all.”

With my ongoing Immigration matter, that I still have no answers to after nearly 7 years, Australia has not honoured human rights, children’s rights, or upheld their values that they pride themselves on, and I have definitely not felt safe!

I have been persecuted, dehumanised, discriminated against, had my family torn apart, and had my stability ripped away from me. Australia’s actions have directly deprived a family to their detriment. What happened to humanity and justice?

I sure as hell haven’t felt secure, prosperous or peaceful with a compromised nervous system due to prolonged inhumane amounts of stress, financial hardship, no eligibility for health or welfare, homelessness, and misguided and contradictory information from the Department and other government bodies.

Surely if an Immigration solicitor is registered with MARA (Migration Agents Registration Authority), they should know and abide by Immigration law?...Well evidently not the corrupt solicitor that dealt me this injustice...She’s still practicing! Her name is Ann Woods.

You tell me how much dignity you’d have sleeping in car parks, or sitting at a bus shelter until after 10pm in the cold, with no help or compassion from the Status Resolution Team, not having anyone to turn to for help, and having no means to pay for another flea infested motel because you cannot afford a rental property, all because it is regulation to be placed on a Bridging visa E if your matter is with Ministerial intervention, a visa specifically granted while you make arrangements to leave Australia...So I’ve had the added challenges and struggle since 2020 of trying to secure work, zero help with a worldwide pandemic and deteriorating health...That night (last week), sitting at the bus stop crying, 2 kind strangers gave me money for a motel...I will forever be grateful, but it was soul destroying!

I am drowning in medical bills and debt incurred since May 2018 when, again, I was given incorrect information to re-enter Australia on a Visitor visa, and I don’t have the luxury of a warm bed every night.

By Ann Woods instruction I was forced to return to England in 2014 for 4 years, even though I’d lived in Australia for 10 years, my youngest daughter was born here, and I’d independently renewed my subclass 461 without complication every 4 years. No thought was given to me still being vulnerable after undergoing intensive psychotherapy and 16 psychiatric admissions for healing my childhood sexual abuse, and all my children are citizens.

And yet, Ann Woods managed to obtain permanent carers visas through Ministerial intervention for my sister and her 2 children on grounds of caring for me (I have a file full of supporting documents from the children’s schools and pre-school at the time, neighbours, my general practitioner, psychiatric inpatient social workers, and my psychiatrist and psychologist at the time), and to date I still have been given no explanation as to what went wrong.

Surely when Border Patrol pulled me aside at Kingsford Smith Airport on the day of my departure, before I’d even presented my passport, to advise me of no re-entry into Australia for the next 3 years...Surely they should have picked up that something was not right. When I emailed Ann Woods from England she advised that I marry an Australian citizen to get back into Australia to be with my children...I thought that was illegal?

This video was taken in January 2018 when I arrived at Kingsford smith Airport after more than 3 years of being separated from my children - I had to fight for 3 months to be granted a 3-week holiday visa to see them!

Compassion for those in need?...Equality of opportunity for all?

I understand for those who have not experienced this, it must be inconceivable to comprehend...Well my values are, first and foremost, honesty and truth and with freedom of speech these are the God honest facts.

If I have done something wrong that I am not aware of, to warrant this kind of treatment, then PLEASE Australian Home Affairs tell me, so that we can find resolution, and so that I can understand this mess!

Maybe I missed a memo along the way because I have not been granted any resources, other than struggle and heartache, for gross negligence and injustice that was never mine to carry, while those responsible have not been held liable.

FAIR GO AUSTRALIA!

Sending all my strength and love to the Biloela Family xxx
